What’s up Folks!

I am ja’naye flanagan, i use the “she” series, I’m a SAGITTARIUS, My enneagram is an 8, and i am an arTist that goes “Any way the wind blows.” Though born and raised in louiSville, kentucky, i tend to around quite a bit.

I grew up being able to recite All my favorite disney movies word-from-word and creating dancEs with my family, which was A bit SURPRISING when i went the “sports” route. Playing basketball, running track, kaRate, even joing the Wrestling team. It wasn’t until I tore my lcl, when i realized That sports….wasn’t my ministry! Ha!

I offICially was introduced to musical theatre in 8th grade when i performed as fayard nicholas in a summer production,“Cotton comes to louisville” with r.e.a.l. D.r.a.m.a theatRe camp. I’ve Been in love with the art form ever siNce.

After auditioning for the youth performing arts HIGH-SCHOOL, and not getting in, i Applied to pleasure ridge park high-school and joined their visual and performing arts training prograM.

After graduating, i was engulfed in the Local Community AND REGIONAL theatre community (Actors theatre, derby dinner plaYhouse, redline performing arts and faith works studios) as not only a performer, but also as a choreographer and teaching artist. After 2 years, i went off to college at lipscomb university to RECEIVE my bfa in musical theaTre and AFTER attendING for 1 year I REALIZED that college JUST WAS NOT for Me.

since that shift in life i’ve been traveling, performing and Showing the world who i am; a Fearsome and wonderfully made daughter of god. That is obssed with jim hansens “the laybrinth,” the colors Yellow and orange, dog and otter videos, jazz music, cooking, WRITING, NATURE and CREATING MEMORIES WITH THOSE AROUND ME.
